About Karnal

Located equidistant from Delhi and Chandigarh on Sher Shah Suri Marg (GT Road) at about 250 m above sea level, Karnal is a small but beautiful city. It is surrounded by places of historical significance and tourists’ interest: Kurukshetra (35 KM), Panipat (35 KM), Haridwar (175 KM), Rishikesh (195 KM), Agra (325 KM), Mathura (300 KM), Shimla (250 KM), Kullu-Manali (400 KM) and Jaipur (400 KM). Karnal is well connected to the Indian Capital New Delhi. The weather conditions in mid November is pleasant and temperatures vary from Min 18-22oC (night) to Max 26-30oC (daytime).

How to Reach Karnal

The distance from Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi is around 160 Km which can be covered by road in about 3 hrs. Frequent train services are available from New Delhi/Delhi Railway Stations. State run buses ply round the clock from Inter State Bus Terminus, New Delhi. If informed in advance the organizers will pick up the delegates from Karnal Railway Station and Bus Stand. Arrangements can also be made for the foreign delegates to be transported from International Airport, New Delhi to Karnal.
